THOR: RAGNAROK
BUILD PROCESS PHOTO SLIDESHOW
The entire torso was built from 5mm EVA foam. Kwik seal was used to fill seams and smooth the surface. The foam was then heat sealed.
A look at the back seam that was blended with Kwik seal and then heat sealed and ready for Plastidip sealing.
A dark brown base coat was then applied over the Plastidip.
Gold accents and brads were applied to the costume and weathered appropriately.
I then went over the brown again with lighter and varied browns and tans to give it a more realistic leather texture, while also making it look worn. A semi gloss clear coat was then applied over this.
DETAIL PHOTOS
All costume parts are made from 5-6mm EVA foam and painted to look like leather. Detail pieces such as the shoulder discs and belt buckle were 3d printed, sanded and finished.
